A Plethora of Experience

How do you showcase more than 25 years of work?

My passion for graphic design and photography has been a constant throughout my life. My journey began with the advent of the Apple Macintosh, giving me firsthand experience transitioning from traditional graphic design techniques—such as hand-cutting and pasting—to the efficiencies of digital design. This foundation provides me with a comprehensive understanding of the entire creative process.

I started my career as a Production Artist and Project Supervisor at OC Tanner before embarking on a long tenure at Sundance Catalog in 1999. Over the past 25+ years, I have continuously evolved, culminating in the role of Director of Digital Design at Sundance Catalog. Today, I work as a freelance and contract professional designer, proficient across multiple platforms and experienced in a wide range of digital and print graphic projects.

I have experience designing and producing websites, web headers, landing pages, emails, digital ads, animated gifs, and social posts. I've worked on several website redesigns and led teams of designers, copywriters, and UX/UI artists.

My print work includes catalogs, mailers, brochures, packaging, business cards, billboards, retail barricades, and airport signs. I’ve managed design and production teams and created workflows for print projects.

I’ve developed and presented creative strategies, storyboards, and ideas to executives and clients. As an art director, I’ve worked in-studio on jewelry, home, fashion, and model photography, and directed shoots on location, even in tough conditions like deep snow. I have many years managing digital and print studio teams that include photographers, stylists, and copywriters.

I’m skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and website/project management tools (Wix, Squarespace, Workfront). I also use Dropbox, Google Docs, Sheets, and Drive.

I’m a detail-focused proofreader who enjoys new challenges. I volunteer regularly and am a 200-Hour Certified Yoga Teacher, teaching once a week at a local Rec Center. I love animals, my family, and outdoor activities.
